Feb 7, 2011 The Oregon Bartenders Guild will be at TOAST

OBG bartenders will be at TOAST creating classic and original cocktail samples using local spirits. This will be a great oppurtunity to experiance some of the local spirits being tasted at TOAST in actual cocktails, as well as a chance to see how those drinks are made, and learn a little about the art and tequnique of proper cocktail preparation. Feb 7, 2011 ODG will sit on a panel at ADI's 2011 Conference

The Oregon distillers Guild has been asked to host a panel at this year's upcoming American Distilling Institute Conference. Lee Medoff (Bullrun Distillery), Mike Sherwood (Subrosa Spirits), and Ryan Csanky (Artisan Spirits, Oregon Distillers Guild) will sit on a panel with members of the Colorado Distiller Guild to discuss how to start a distillers guild.

We hear that Portland Mayor Sam Adams is excited to be attending T.O.A.S.T. this April 8th. The mayor will be  speaking at 5.30. More information about T.O.A.S.T.

Jan 14, 2011 American Distilling Institute's 2011 national conference will be held in Portland this April

April 4–8, ADI will bring 300–400 of its membership from around the country to Portland for a week of distillling seminars, spirit tastings, and tours of Portland's breweries and distilleries. 2011 marks the first time ADI has chosen to hold thier annual conference anywhere other than Louisville or San Francisco. The Oregon Distillers Guild has been asked to arrange a tasting to coincide with the ADI conference, which brings us to T.O.A.S.T.: The Oregon Artisan Spirit Tasting. T.O.A.S.T. will be a tasting of craft spirits from around the country, as well as a chance to experience the unparalleled variety and quality of Oregon's distilleries.
